These are a few of the indie bands I used to play guitar in. Let me know what you think.
bucolic
Bucolic was a band I started in late 2000 right after moving to New York City. We recorded this five song demo in early
2001. After playing three shows that year at Acme Underground, the band split up in late summer.
Our only brush with fame came when guitarist Kaki King tried out as a replacement drummer for us at one point. Our lead
singer didn't care for it, and so that was the end of that. Unfazed by the rejection, Kaki went on to a recording career for
major labels as a solo guitarist, and playing gigs like Letterman.
I played lead guitar on these songs, using a Gibson ES-330 with heavy flatwound strings, through a Roland Jazz Chorus
amp.

lovely
Lovely was the first band I ever played in. We played quite a few shows in our hometown of Rochester NY, and one awful
road show in Buffalo. We recorded the six song EP "Little Marci Sightings" in october 1997. The live track was recorded on
August 21st 1997, at The Bug Jar, a cool indie bar on Monroe Avenue, now long gone I imagine.
The band was me, Emily Faith, Gerry Rustic, Will Skinner, and Al Smith. We split up the following year, after Will and Gerry
moved to NYC, and were left with 500 copies of said EP, printed and shrink-wrapped. If you want one, send me an email.
They make great coasters.
I played an Epiphone Les Paul, through a Fender Blues Jr amp, with a few Boss pedals, and an Alesis Quadraverb. Will
played a Gibson "The Paul" and a Fender Jazzmaster, with Korg and Digitech pedal boards, through a Fender Quad and a
small old Martin practice amp.

mansfield
Mansfield was the remnants of Lovely trying to go for a somewhat different sound. Chorus was out, reverb and jangle was in.
The band was Emily Faith, Al Smith, Stefan Lorenz, and me.
I played a Fender American Standard Telecaster on all these tunes, through a Roland Jazz Chorus amp, with an Alesis
Nanoverb. Stefan played a Fender Jaguar through a Fender Twin Reverb, with some Boss pedals.
